We are recruiting for a respected, growing care organisation seeking an experienced Registered Manager to take ownership of a stable, values-led domiciliary care service across Southampton. A strong team is already in place. A Good-rated service is ready to grow. This is a leadership role where you can make a difference without starting from scratch.

This is not a turnaround role; the team is steady, the foundations are strong, and the service is well-respected locally.

What’s needed now is a confident, people-focused leader who can strengthen what’s already working, drive quality to the next level, and build something sustainable for the future, with genuine autonomy and senior support behind them.

If you thrive on steady leadership, team development, quality improvement, and values-led service delivery, this could be your next step.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a well-established home care service with around 40 to 60 carers.
  • Partner with your Deputy Manager to deliver exceptional standards of person-centred care.
  • Maintain full compliance across CQC, safeguarding, audits, governance, and best practice.
  • Strengthen operational delivery, workforce planning, and quality assurance processes.
  • Support the wider organisational restructure positively, acting as a steady, resilient leadership presence.
  • Participate in a shared on-call rota (approximately 1 in 6–8 weeks).

To be considered for this position, all candidates will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified to Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
  • Current or near-complete CQC registration essential.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring care teams, ideally within domiciliary care, supported living, or residential care settings.
  • Calm, credible leadership style, someone who builds trust and confidence within settled teams.
  • Highly organised, with strong planning skills, attention to detail, and service resilience.
  • Commercially aware to be able to understand financial drivers, service budgets, and resource management.
  • Fully confident managing compliance, audits, CQC inspections, and regulatory governance.
  • People focused, values-driven, and passionate about delivering outstanding care outcomes.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required.
  • Lives locally to Southampton as relocation support is not offered.
  • Practical ability to travel for field-based spot checks and community visits.

This is a fully office-based role; no hybrid or remote working is available. In return, you will receive a salary of circa £40,000- £41,000.

25 days’ holiday entitlement plus your birthday off. Workplace pension scheme. Real leadership autonomy with senior support, not micromanagement. The opportunity to take ownership of a respected service and lead it into its next chapter of growth.

If you are looking for a leadership role where you can take real ownership, build lasting relationships, and make a sustainable difference, we would welcome your application.

Please apply by submitting your CV and a summary of your leadership experience. Alternatively, contact Ebele Ossai, Recruitment Director, for a confidential discussion.
