About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Ward Manager to join a specialist mental health service located in Preston supporting adults with complex mental health needs. This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Preston, Leyland, Chorley, Blackburn, Fulwood, Penwortham, Longridge, Garstang, Kirkham, Blackpool, Burnley, Accrington, Darwen, Wigan, Bolton, Southport and surrounding areas.
As an experienced Ward Manager, you will oversee the day to day running of the ward, support staff development, maintain high clinical standards and work collaboratively with senior clinicians to achieve positive outcomes for service users. You will play a key role in clinical governance, safeguarding, quality improvement and regulatory compliance while fostering a positive and supportive team culture.
Requirements:
- A positive, caring and compassionate approach to delivering high quality care
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Current and unrestricted NMC registration
- Previous experience leading nursing teams within a mental health service
- Experience working within CQC regulated mental health services
- Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding legislation
- Experience with clinical governance, audits and incident management
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
