Registered Manager | Children's Residential
Location: Preston Salary: £60,000 per annum
Hours: Full Time permanent
Please note: We do not hold licences to support overseas candidates. You must have previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential care setting. This role is not suitable for Deputy Managers looking to step up into their first Registered Manager position.
About the Role:
We are looking for experienced Registered Managers to join a service located in Preston, supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) within a 3-bed residential children's home.
This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Preston, Leyland, Chorley, Bamber Bridge, Penwortham, Fulwood, Longridge, Blackburn, Darwen, Accrington, Blackpool, Kirkham, Garstang, Wigan and surrounding areas.
As an experienced Registered Manager, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care while working closely with colleagues to maintain a supportive and professional team culture.
You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of clinical practice, safeguarding, and compliance, while working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver care in line with service values and evidence-based practice.
You will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, leading and developing your team, maintaining Ofsted compliance and ensuring children and young people receive high-quality, nurturing and trauma-informed care.
Requirements:
- A positive, caring, and compassionate approach to delivering high quality care
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A motivated, flexible, and proactive approach to work
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or recognised equivalent, or commitment to achieve this within regulatory timescales
- Ability to obtain and maintain Ofsted registration
- Previous experience working as a Registered Manager within a children's residential home – essential
- Experience working within a children's residential EBD setting
- Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards
- Experience managing staff teams, safeguarding, risk assessments and care planning
- Understanding of trauma-informed care and positive behaviour support
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK without s p o n s o r s h i p
