The Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Dual Registered Manager to oversee two established solo-bed children’s residential homes in the BH15 area of Poole. The homes support children and young people with complex needs, including Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager who is confident overseeing multiple services and is passionate about maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding and support. You will have responsibility for ensuring both homes continue to provide safe, nurturing and high-quality environments for the young people they support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of both solo-bed homes.
  • Ensure both homes provide safe, supportive and nurturing environments.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and care.
  • Lead, manage and develop the staff teams across both homes.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation.
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
  • Build positive relationships with young people, families and external professionals.
  • Monitor the quality of care across both services.
  • Identify and implement areas for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain the homes' existing Good Ofsted standards.
  • Support staff to deliver consistent, person-centred care.
  • Work closely with the wider management team to ensure the services operate effectively.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care.
  • Experience managing children and young people with complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and children's residential legislation.
  • Experience working with EBD and/or LD.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.
  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge.
  • Ability to confidently oversee and manage two services.
  • Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People, or willingness to work towards this.
  • A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
