Pastoral Support Role - SEN School
Location: Southampton
Salary: £14.50 – £16.80 per hour (pro rata, but split evenly over 12 months)
Contract: Term-time only (40 hours/week)
About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support member to join our team in our school setting. You will play a key role in supporting the wellbeing and personal development of our students, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and valued every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pastoral care and support to students, helping them overcome personal or academic challenges
- Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to promote student wellbeing
- Support the implementation of school policies and pastoral initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring student progress
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 12 months’ experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in student welfare
