Location: Haslemere

Salary: £24 - £28 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-Time permanent position + on call requirement

Shifts: Monday – Friday, with flexibility required to support the needs of the service

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Ward Manager (RMN) to join a specialist service located in Haslemere, supporting adults with complex mental health and physical health conditions. As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the ward, ensuring high standards of clinical care, compliance, and patient safety are consistently maintained. You will provide strong leadership to the nursing and support teams, promoting a positive and supportive working culture while driving clinical excellence and service improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Nurse, Clinical Lead, Deputy Ward Manager, or existing Ward Manager looking to join a supportive and forward-thinking service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the clinical and operational performance of the ward
  • Supporting, mentoring, and developing nursing and support staff
  • Ensuring safe staffing levels and effective rota management
  • Maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance
  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care
  • Supporting audits, investigations, and continuous service improvement
  • Ensuring care is delivered in line with CQC standards and evidence-based practice

Requirements:

  • A positive, caring, and compassionate leadership approach
  • Previous experience within a leadership or management role in Mental Health services
  • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
  • The ability to lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary team
  • A relevant qualification (RMN or RGN)
  • A current and unrestricted NMC registration
  • Experience working within Mental Health services
  • Good understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and clinical governance
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
