About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager (RGN) to join a specialist clinical service based within Leicestershire. This is a hands-on clinical leadership role supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of a specialist service supporting adults with complex physical needs. As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of clinical care, supporting staff development, ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting positive outcomes for service users. You will work closely with the Registered Manager, nursing team, support workers and wider multidisciplinary team to ensure the service delivers safe, effective and person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day management of the service
  • Provide leadership, supervision and clinical support to the staff team
  • Monitor care delivery and maintain high clinical standards
  • Support staff appraisals, supervision and competency assessments
  • Ensure care plans and risk assessments are implemented effectively
  • Participate in MDT meetings and contribute to clinical decision-making
  • Support recruitment, induction and staff development
  • Promote compliance with CQC regulations, policies and procedures
  • Participate in the on-call rota when required
  • Drive continuous service improvement and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience
  • Previous experience supervising or supporting staff within a clinical setting
  • Strong clinical knowledge including care planning and risk assessment
  • Good understanding of CQC requirements and regulatory standards
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting individuals with complex physical or neurological needs
  • Previous experience as a Senior Nurse, Clinical Lead or Deputy Manager
  • Experience conducting appraisals, supervision and competency assessments
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment
