About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a specialist elderly care service. This role is based within Leicestershire and is easily accessible from surrounding towns and cities across the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established service supporting older adults with complex care needs. The service is focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a supportive and therapeutic environment.
As the Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for the operational, clinical and regulatory leadership of the service. You will lead the team to ensure excellent standards of care, compliance, quality and staff performance while maintaining a positive culture for both residents and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the CQC Registered Manager for the service
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and the Health and Social Care Act
- Lead audits, governance processes and quality improvement initiatives
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments and service delivery
- Manage staffing levels, recruitment, retention and performance
- Lead investigations relating to safeguarding, incidents and complaints
- Manage referrals, assessments and admissions
- Build positive relationships with families, commissioners and external professionals
- Maintain oversight of budgets and service performance
- Promote a positive, inclusive and person-centred culture throughout the service
Requirements:
- Nurse qualification – RGN, RMN or RNLD
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Home Manager or equivalent leadership role
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and adult social care legislation
- Experience managing staff teams, budgets and service performance
- Experience leading audits, governance and quality improvement plans
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Passion for delivering outstanding elderly care
Desirable:
- Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification
- Experience within dementia, nursing home or specialist behavioural services
- Experience working with commissioners, local authorities and NHS stakeholders
- Experience improving CQC ratings and driving service improvement
