Pay: £13.25 per hour

Hours: 5 days per week 08.45 to 17.00 with one late shift a week

About the role

Our client provides a safe and caring environment for adults experiencing past or present problems with various forms of addiction. Their focus is on recovery and independence and to creating a positive, inclusive and empowering environment which celebrates difference and allows the service users and staff to flourish.

Due to the personal care needs of our female residents, this post is open to female applicants only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

Requirements

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and two references.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • The Care Certificate, NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or working towards this qualification
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • At least one year’s experience working in a care environment
  • Good people skills and computer literacy

Responsibilities

  • Administer medication
  • Providing emotional support for an individual
  • Ensure the environment is homely, clean and safe
  • Part of an on-call rota
  • Ensure that people have access to primary healthcare and update care plans
  • Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all support needs meet the highest possible standards
  • Be tolerant, make every day count, have fun, have courage, always provide quality support and do all you can to help people achieve their goals
