We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join a supportive children's home team in Chipping, near Preston, supporting children and young people aged 8-18 with emotional and behavioural needs. This role is commutable from Preston, Longridge, Clitheroe, Garstang, Blackburn, Fulwood, Ribchester, Great Harwood, Lancaster and surrounding areas.
As a Team Leader, you will provide leadership, guidance and support to the team while ensuring children receive safe, nurturing and person-centred care. You will lead allocated shifts, coordinate staff, support day-to-day routines and ensure care is delivered in line with individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding requirements.
You will help create a stable and supportive environment where children feel safe, valued and understood, while also supporting staff development and maintaining high standards of professional practice.
- Experience of working with children or young people within residential care, social care, education, youth work or a comparable setting
- Previous senior or shift-leading residential childcare experience is desirable
- QCF Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or recognised equivalent, or willingness to achieve the qualification
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment and behaviour support
- Ability to provide leadership, guidance and direction to staff
- Confident making appropriate decisions and taking responsibility during shifts
- Full UK driving licence essential

- £33,489 per year
- £15.25 per hour
- £54 sleep rate
- £3,600 performance bonus scheme, bringing total annual earning capacity to £37,089 before additional shifts
- 2 on 4 off rotating shift pattern
