We are looking for an experienced Pastoral Support Worker to join a specialist SEN School located in Southampton, supporting children and young people with additional educational needs. This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Southampton, Eastleigh, Totton, Romsey, Hedge End, Fareham, Winchester, Chandlers Ford and surrounding areas. As an experienced Pastoral Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing, emotional development and personal growth of students. Working closely with teachers, parents and external professionals, you will help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every student is supported to reach their full potential. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, safeguarding, attendance and student wellbeing while working collaboratively with the wider school team to deliver high-quality pastoral support in line with the school's values and policies. Please note: We do not hold licences to support overseas candidates. You must have a minimum of 12 months' experience working as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or in a similar education support role.

  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable
  • Understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young peopleAbility to support positive behaviour and student wellbeing
