Senior Data Architect Azure / Microsoft Fabric Rate: £600£800 per day (DOE) Inside IR35

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Data Architect, working in a hands-on architecture role,for a major global organisation undertaking a significant modernisation of its enterprise data environment.
The organisation is developing a new data platform based around Microsoft Fabric, Azure and Medallion architecture, alongside Master Data Management, improved data governance and increasing use of AI and automation.
We are looking for someone who can work closely with developers and data engineers, challenge technical decisions, guide third-party delivery teams and take responsibility for ensuring the architecture is actually implemented/ delivered.
Essential experience, for the Senior Data Architect role: Senior-level Data Architecture experience.
Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure data-platform experience.
Significant practical experience with Microsoft Fabric .
Experience designing/delivering Medallion architecture Bronze, Silver and Gold .
Master Data Management / MDM and ideally golden-record implementation.
Data governance and data-quality principles.
Experience working directly with developers / data engineers and driving technical delivery.
Experience within a large-scale, complex or global enterprise environment .
Ability to influence senior stakeholders while remaining technically hands-on.
Pragmatic, delivery-focused approach rather than purely theoretical architecture.
Experience with: OneLake, Lakehouse, Fabric Warehouse, Data Factory/Pipelines, semantic models, Power BI, AI or data-platform automation would be highly beneficial.
6-month initial contract with potential extension.
There is also potential for contract-to-permanent for someone interested in a longer-term opportunity, although this is entirely optional.
