Head of Solution & Platform Architecture in East Kilbride

Head of Solution & Platform Architecture London | Hybrid 2–3 days per week | £130k–£160k + up to 30% bonus
This is not a traditional Enterprise Architecture role.
We are looking for a senior architecture leader who has already built, led and transformed a Solution / Platform Architecture function within a large, complex organisation.
You will take responsibility for bringing infrastructure, cloud, applications, integration, data, workplace and security architecture together into coherent, supportable business solutions.
The organisation is moving towards a more Cloud-enabled, product-centric, Agile and automated technology model , and needs someone who can modernise the architecture capability while keeping delivery moving.
You should have already done most of the following: Led a sizeable Solution / Platform Architecture team or function , not simply operated as an individual Enterprise Architect.
Owned complex, end-to-end architecture spanning cloud, infrastructure and platforms , with credible applications and integration experience.
Built or materially matured an architecture capability and remained accountable for it over time.
Led major transformation towards Cloud, Agile/product delivery, automation and modern engineering practices .
Established practical architecture standards, design authority and governance without slowing delivery.
Brought multiple technology domains, tools and platforms together into integrated enterprise solutions.
Delivered measurable outcomes through architecture — cost reduction, simplification, resilience, improved delivery speed or technology risk reduction.
This could suit someone currently operating as a Head of Solution Architecture, Head of Platform Architecture, Head of Architecture or senior architecture leader who still understands the technology beneath the strategy.
