Head of Cloud & Infrastructure in East Kilbride

Head of Cloud & Infrastructure London | Hybrid 2–3 days per week | £130k–£160k + up to 30% bonus
This is a major Cloud & Infrastructure transformation leadership role within a complex global technology environment.
The organisation is moving away from a traditional datacentre-led infrastructure model towards a more Cloud-first, automated, resilient and platform-engineering-led operating model .
We need someone who has already led this journey at scale — while keeping critical day-to-day services stable.
You should have already experience of the following: Led a substantial Cloud & Infrastructure / Platform Engineering function across multiple countries or business units.
Delivered significant datacentre exit and migration to Azure / cloud , including complex legacy estates.
Led both migration and modernisation — IaaS/PaaS, hybrid cloud, platform engineering and application enablement.
Transformed traditional infrastructure teams towards DevOps, Agile/product ways of working, IaC, CI/CD and automation .
Owned operational resilience, disaster recovery, availability and Major Incident response across critical infrastructure/cloud services.
Used modern monitoring and observability capabilities to improve reliability and proactive operations.
Managed major strategic technology partners, cloud providers and MSPs.
Owned significant budgets and demonstrated measurable outcomes through FinOps, consolidation, automation or cost optimisation .
Built and developed high-performing internal engineering teams while maintaining strong technical credibility.
This could suit a current Head of Cloud, Head of Infrastructure, Head of Platform Engineering or Global Infrastructure leader who has personally led large-scale transformation rather than simply overseeing BAU operations.
