We are recruiting a Corporate Ethics & Compliance Analyst to join the internal Risk and Compliance function of a large international professional-services organisation.
Please note: Candidates whose experience is predominantly focused on banking AML/KYC, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, remediation or financial-crime investigations are unlikely to be suitable unless they can demonstrate substantial broader internal ethics and corporate compliance experience.
This is a broad, hands-on corporate compliance role covering anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions, insider-trading requirements, employee and new-hire compliance, conflicts of interest, gifts and hospitality, policies, investigations, monitoring and internal queries.
A good part of the role will involve compliance activity relating to employees, contractors and senior appointments, including screening, declarations, conflicts checks, outside interests, approvals and associated contractual requirements. This is not an AML/KYC remediation, transaction-monitoring or financial-crime operations role.
Essential experience for the Corporate Ethics & Compliance Analyst position:- Typically three to five years relevant experience within an internal Compliance, Ethics, Business Conduct, Independence or Corporate Compliance function.
- A sound understanding of AML, anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions and insider-trading or market-abuse requirements, with practical experience across several of these areas.
- Broader internal corporate compliance experience beyond AML/KYC.
- Experience supporting compliance matters involving employees, contractors, new hires, appointments, conflicts, declarations or outside interests.
- Strong hands-on administrative capability, including trackers, records, action follow-up and internal stakeholder queries.
- Experience within a law firm, accountancy firm, consultancy or other professional-services environment would be highly desirable.
- Candidates from other sectors will be considered where they have worked within a large, complex, international or matrixed organisation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders at different levels.
- Comfortable undertaking substantive compliance work alongside detailed operational and administrative support.
- Support the internal Risk and Compliance team with day-to-day corporate ethics and compliance matters.
- Apply and support requirements relating to AML, anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions and insider trading.
- Assist with compliance checks and approvals for employees, new hires, contractors and senior appointments.
- Review conflicts of interest, outside activities, gifts and hospitality, and other conduct-related matters.
- Respond to internal compliance queries and escalate concerns where appropriate.
- Support investigations, monitoring reviews, internal audits and compliance assessments.
- Maintain accurate trackers, registers, records and action logs, ensuring matters are followed through to completion.
- Assist with compliance policies, procedures, training and internal communications.
- Support compliance activity relating to new offices, entities or international operations where required.
The role requires attendance in the London office two to three days per week.
