About the Job

As a Career Development Professional Teaching Assessor, you will deliver and assess the Level 6 Career Development Professional Apprenticeship Standard, alongside Level 3, Level 4, and additional careers education programmes where required. You will support learners throughout their apprenticeship journey by providing engaging teaching, coaching, assessment, and professional guidance. Working with learners, employers, and internal teams, you will ensure programmes are delivered to a high standard while supporting achievement, progression, and successful End Point Assessment outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging teaching, coaching, and assessment sessions for Career Development Professional Apprenticeships
  • Managing a caseload of learners and supporting timely achievement
  • Providing learner support through remote sessions, reviews, and progress meetings
  • Preparing learners for End Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Supporting learners with employability skills, professional development, and career progression
  • Maintaining accurate learner records using e-portfolio systems
  • Working collaboratively with employers to support learner success
  • Delivering teaching aligned with Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) expectations
  • Supporting quality assurance activity, standardisation meetings, and continuous improvement

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced Careers Education professional, Career Development Practitioner, Teaching Assessor, or Apprenticeship Trainer with a strong understanding of career guidance and learner development. You will ideally have:

  • Level 6 qualification in Career Guidance, Careers Education, Learning & Development, or equivalent
  • Recognised assessor qualification such as TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/D33, or equivalent
  • Recognised teaching qualification such as Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training (DET), PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent
  • Experience delivering apprenticeship standards and vocational qualifications
  • Experience within Further Education (FE), Independent Training Providers (ITPs), apprenticeships, or employability programmes
  • Knowledge of End Point Assessment (EPA) requirements
  • Understanding of Ofsted EIF, quality assurance, and apprenticeship compliance
  • Experience supporting SEND, disadvantaged, or vulnerable learners
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and learner engagement skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and employer relationship skills
  • Confidence using e-portfolio systems and digital learning platforms
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a learner caseload
