Freelance Warehouse Tutor

As a Freelance Warehouse Tutor, you’ll deliver engaging and inclusive training sessions as part of the Employment programme in the Derby and Nottinghamshire area.

You will:

  • Deliver classroom and practical sessions focused on Warehouse Operations, Health & Safety, Stock Control, and Employability Skills.
  • Support learners to achieve Level 1–2 Warehouse & Storage qualifications.
  • Provide mentoring and personalised support to help learners build confidence and move into employment.
  • Complete assessments and maintain accurate learner records in line with awarding body standards.
  • Travel between training locations across Derby and Nottinghamshire as needed.

This is a freelance / self-employed position, offering flexibility and autonomy, ideal for experienced trainers looking to expand their portfolio.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Experience delivering Warehouse or Logistics training in an adult learning or employability setting.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety procedures, and industry standards.
  • A recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g. AET / PTLLS, DET / DTLLS, TAQA / Assessor Award).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate learners from all backgrounds.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport for local site travel.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience with AEB, or DWP-funded programmes.
  • Occupational background within warehousing or logistics.
