The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll lead the operational delivery, compliance, and performance of funded contracts including Apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps, and other government-funded provision.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end operational management of funded contracts
- Monitoring performance against KPIs such as starts, retention, achievement, and income
- Ensuring accurate and timely ILR submissions with full audit compliance
- Leading internal audits and preparing for external inspections and reviews
- Maintaining dashboards, risk logs, delivery schedules, and performance reports
- Working closely with curriculum teams to align delivery models, quality assurance, and compliance
- Providing operational leadership to delivery teams, ensuring funding and quality standards are met
- Acting as the main operational contact for funders, partners, and employers
- Monitoring financial performance, funding reconciliation, and implementing recovery plans where needed
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll be a confident, detail-driven leader with a strong background in funded education delivery.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience managing Apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps, or similar funded contracts
- In-depth knowledge of ESFA funding rules, ILR data, audits, and compliance frameworks
- Experience in operational leadership within a training or education provider
- Strong analytical, reporting, and organisational skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Working knowledge of Ofsted, Ofqual, and awarding body requirements
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with high attention to detail
- A collaborative leadership style and commitment to continuous improvement
