The Role

As an External Quality Assurer (EQA), you will be responsible for ensuring that centres delivering Refrigeration & Air Conditioning qualifications meet required standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and conducting face-to-face quality assurance visits
  • Monitoring and reviewing assessment and internal quality assurance practices
  • Supporting centres with industry expertise and quality guidance
  • Providing clear, constructive feedback to assessors, learners, and delivery teams
  • Maintaining strong relationships with centres and internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with regulated qualification standards and requirements
  • Accurately documenting QA activities and outcomes

This role covers centres across the East of England and North West regions, offering variety and the chance to work with multiple providers.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a credible industry professional with strong technical knowledge and quality assurance experience within Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.

You will ideally have:

  • Current, hands-on experience in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
  • A recognised Assessor qualification (D32/D33, A1/A2, or TAQA Level 3 CAVA)
  • An EQA/IQA qualification (TAQA 6312-41, D35/V2) or working towards it
  • Experience working within a regulated qualifications or training environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence in providing professional and supportive feedback
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with centres
  • Ideally based in or near the East of England or North West
