As a Business Development Manager within the Talent Solutions / Learning & Development division, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth through consultative, relationship-led sales. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to position apprenticeship levy-funded programmes, leadership development, and specialist learning solutions as strategic tools for workforce transformation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying, engaging, and converting new clients across large and complex organisations
  • Building trusted relationships with C-suite and senior leaders to understand workforce, talent, and skills challenges
  • Selling tailored learning and development solutions aligned to organisational strategy
  • Managing a portfolio of high-value clients and identifying opportunities for expansion and cross-selling
  • Positioning apprenticeship levy-funded programmes as part of a broader L&D and talent strategy
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting, and governance standards
  • Collaborating with internal delivery, academic, and consulting teams to ensure a seamless client experience

This is a consultant-level Business Development role, suited to professionals who operate credibly at board and executive level.

This role is best suited to a senior Business Development or Sales professional with experience operating within blue-chip, professional services, or enterprise environments. You will ideally bring:

  • Proven experience in Business Development, consultative sales, or client advisory roles
  • A strong track record of winning new business and developing senior client relationships
  • Experience engaging with C-suite, directors, and senior stakeholders
  • A professional, credible, and solution-focused approach to sales
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • The ability to manage multiple complex client relationships simultaneously

Desirable (not essential):

  • Exposure to apprenticeships, learning & development, or workforce skills programmes
  • Experience selling professional services, consultancy, or education solutions
  • Strong CRM capability and Microsoft Office proficiency
