The Role
As Teaching and Learning Manager, you will oversee the operational and educational performance of multiple centres, ensuring consistently high standards of teaching, learner engagement, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Head of Teaching and Learning, you will lead and develop tutor teams, manage centre performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Ofsted expectations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Recruiting, onboarding, mentoring, and developing tutors
- Conducting lesson observations and providing constructive developmental feedback
- Supporting tutors with lesson planning, delivery, and teaching quality
- Monitoring student progress, achievement, and overall educational outcomes
- Ensuring all centres operate in line with Ofsted and compliance standards
- Leading team meetings and acting as the key communication link between staff and senior leadership
- Supporting centres through inspections and implementing improvement action plans
- Analysing performance data and producing reports to support strategic decision-making
- Assisting with organisational growth, resource planning, and operational efficiency

Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced education leader with a proven track record of managing teams and improving teaching and learning outcomes.
You will have:
- A Level 5 qualification in Education or a related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within educational management or operations
- At least 5 years’ teaching experience with strong classroom practice
- Experience carrying out lesson observations and improving teaching performance through coaching and feedback
- Strong understanding of Ofsted standards and inspection preparation
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- The ability to analyse performance data and drive continuous improvement
- Confidence managing multiple centres, priorities, and stakeholders
Desirable experience includes:
- Knowledge of E-Portfolio systems such as OneFile
- Familiarity with Matrix Standard assessments
- Commitment to ongoing CPD and professional development
A willingness to travel between centres is essential.
