About the Company
You’ll be joining a respected organisation delivering impact-led employment, skills, and vocational rehabilitation services. Staff are supported through IPS model training, ongoing CPD, structured supervision, and a collaborative team culture. The Role
As an Employment Advisor / Employment Specialist, you will manage a caseload of up to 25 clients with health support needs who are motivated to begin or return to work. You will deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model (full training provided), working closely with multidisciplinary teams within Primary Care Networks and wider health services.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Meeting clients 1:1 to understand strengths, goals, and aspirations
- Using vocational profiling and action planning to support progression into work
- Supporting job search activities including CVs, applications, interviews, and disclosure guidance
- Identifying suitable job opportunities, including accessing the hidden labour market
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local employers
- Negotiating reasonable adjustments and supporting employers with retention and return-to-work strategies
- Providing in-work support to help clients sustain employment
- Attending multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to promote the service and secure referrals
- Maintaining accurate records, monitoring progress, and working in line with IPS fidelity standards
This role combines employability, health support, coaching, and employer engagement, offering high impact and job satisfaction.
Ideal Candidate

- Experience supporting individuals into work within employability, health, skills, supported employment, or related services
- Strong engagement and relationship-building skills with clients, employers, and partners
- Confidence coaching and motivating individuals towards their employment goals

- Ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team
- Good administrative and record-keeping skills
- Flexibility to travel locally and support outreach activity
Desirable (but not essential):
- Knowledge or experience of the IPS model (full training provided)
- Backgrounds in welfare-to-work, careers, recruitment, IAG, mental health support, or vocational services
