The Role
As a Freelance Employability Tutor (Warehouse & Logistics), you will deliver engaging, practical training to adult learners across the East Midlands as part of funded employability programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering training in Warehouse Operations, Health & Safety, Manual Handling, Stock Control, and Employability Skills
- Supporting learners towards Level 1–2 Warehouse & Storage qualifications
- Providing mentoring, guidance, and confidence-building support to jobseekers
- Assessing learner work and maintaining accurate records in line with awarding body and funding requirements
- Travelling to delivery venues across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and surrounding areas
Ideal Candidate
You will bring industry experience and a strong commitment to adult learning and employability.
Essential experience and skills:
- Experience delivering warehouse, logistics, or employability training to adults
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and health & safety practices
- A recognised teaching or assessing qualification (AET / PTLLS, DET / DTLLS, TAQA or equivalent)
- Confident, engaging delivery style with strong learner support skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable (not essential):
- Experience delivering AEB or DWP-funded programmes
- Occupational background in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain
