The Role: Development Coach – Health & Social Care

In this full-time role (37.5 hours/week), you’ll support a caseload of up to 40 learners, delivering a range of qualifications from Level 2 to Level 5 in Health and Social Care. You’ll guide learners through their journey using a blend of distance learning via a user-friendly online platform and face-to-face visits tailored to learner needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and learning sessions (1:1 and group)
  • Observing and assessing learners’ competencies
  • Tracking and recording learner progress
  • Preparing lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments
  • Promoting Maths, English, and digital skills development
  • Supporting learners with career guidance and next steps
  • Championing safeguarding, British values, and Prevent Duty
  • Maintaining compliance with awarding body and organisational standards

The Ideal Candidate

You’re an experienced educator with a passion for helping others succeed. You bring:

  • A recognised Teaching and Assessor qualification
  • Experience delivering Health & Social Care qualifications
  • Functional Skills Level 2 (Maths & English) or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, time management, and IT skills
  • A track record of learner success and engagement
  • Confidence working independently with a strong sense of accountability
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (for occasional face-to-face visits)
