The Role

As a Sales Executive, you'll play a key role in generating new business, developing employer relationships, and supporting apprenticeship recruitment across Digital, Technology, and Data programmes.

Key responsibilities include

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with employers across the Digital, IT, Technology, and Data sectors.
  • Generating new business opportunities through proactive sales activity, networking, and relationship building.
  • Promoting apprenticeship recruitment and workforce development solutions.
  • Identifying employer skills gaps and recommending suitable apprenticeship programmes.
  • Managing the full recruitment and sales lifecycle from employer engagement through to successful learner placement.
  • Sourcing, screening, and matching candidates into apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of candidates across digital skills disciplines.
  • Supporting employers with apprenticeship processes, funding information, and recruitment solutions.
  • Achieving sales, recruitment, and business development targets.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales activity reports.
  • Working closely with internal learner engagement and delivery teams to ensure successful programme onboarding.
  • Attending monthly team meetings in Derby.

You'll have

  • Proven experience within sales, recruitment, business development, or employer engagement.
  • Experience generating new business and achieving commercial targets.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience managing employer accounts and candidate pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, target-driven approach and the ability to work independently within a remote environment.
  • Willingness to travel to Derby once per month.

  • Knowledge of apprenticeships, apprenticeship funding, training providers, or workforce development.
  • Previous experience within recruitment or education sales.
