The Role
As a Learner Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for driving learner recruitment performance across the East Midlands, ensuring a strong and consistent pipeline into AEB and employability programmes. You’ll balance strategic oversight with operational delivery, managing relationships, performance, and engagement activity across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement learner recruitment strategies across Derby, Leicester, Lincoln, and Nottingham
- Manage learner pipelines and track performance against targets
- Build and maintain partnerships with job centres, community organisations, and referral networks
- Lead outreach initiatives to engage unemployed and hard-to-reach individuals
- Ensure compliance with AEB funding and eligibility requirements
- Monitor engagement data, reporting, and conversion rates
- Support and guide learner engagement staff where required
Ideal Candidate
You are an experienced engagement professional with a strong understanding of the employability or adult education landscape. You will bring:
- Proven experience in learner recruitment, engagement, or employability outreach
- Knowledge of Adult Education Budget (AEB) programmes
- Experience managing regional or multi-site engagement activity
- Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building skills
