About the Job
As Product Developer, you will be at the core of qualification and assessment design, leading the development, review, and enhancement of products across a diverse portfolio. Working closely with Subject Matter Experts and internal stakeholders, you will ensure qualifications are robust, compliant, and aligned with industry demand.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing qualifications in line with industry, employer, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to shape content, assessment models, and standards
- Ensuring full compliance with Ofqual conditions and wider EPAO / awarding body frameworks, including DfE and Skills England requirements
- Managing qualification development projects, timelines, budgets, and delivery milestones
- Producing high-quality documentation including assessment strategies, centre guidance, and sample materials
- Using data and performance insights to review product effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
- Identifying opportunities for new products and responding to emerging skills and sector needs
This role offers both strategic influence and hands-on delivery, ideal for someone who enjoys shaping products from concept through to launch.
Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this Product Developer role, you will bring:
- Experience working within an awarding body, EPAO, or qualification development environment
- Strong knowledge of qualification and assessment design principles
