Are you confident winning new employer partnerships and helping businesses turn their workforce needs into training opportunities?

A well-established training provider is looking for an Apprenticeship & Skills Bootcamp Business Development Manager to grow employer engagement across London.

You will focus on working with SMEs and other employers to generate apprenticeship and Skills Bootcamp opportunities, support learner recruitment and develop long-term partnerships.

You will also contribute to a roofing upskilling project, helping employers understand and access relevant training support.

About the Organisation

The organisation delivers apprenticeships, vocational training, adult learning and skills development programmes to help individuals build their capabilities and progress into employment.

By working closely with employers and external partners, it aims to address skills gaps, support workforce development and create accessible routes into training and employment.

About the Role

This is a commercially focused role for someone who understands apprenticeship and skills programme recruitment.

You will identify new employers, promote suitable training opportunities and develop a pipeline that leads to employer commitments and learner enrolments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit new employer partners to support apprenticeship and Skills Bootcamp delivery.
  • Identify SMEs, subcontractors and supply-chain businesses with potential training needs.
  • Generate leads and convert them into employer partnerships and learner starts.

  • Build relationships with local authorities, Jobcentre Plus and sector organisations.
  • Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline and report on activity, leads and outcomes.
  • The Ideal Candidate

You will be a proactive business development or employer engagement professional with direct experience in the apprenticeship, Skills Bootcamp or wider training provider sector.

You will understand funded provision and be able to communicate its benefits to employers while working towards measurable targets.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • A track record of winning new business, generating employer leads or developing employer partnerships.

  • Ability to explain funding, eligibility and employer commitments clearly.
  • Commercial awareness and experience working towards business development or recruitment targets.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Based in London and willing to travel for employer meetings and engagement activity.

Construction, roofing or scaffolding experience is desirable but not essential. Experience working with SMEs and subcontractors would be an advantage.
