About the Job
As a Lean & Warehouse Tutor, you will deliver engaging and practical training across warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain processes, and Lean methodologies. You will support learners on AEB-funded employability and vocational training programmes, helping them develop both technical skills and workplace behaviours required in modern warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training in warehouse operations, logistics, stock control, and Lean principles
- Teach continuous improvement methodologies including 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and root cause analysis
- Support learners working towards vocational qualifications such as City & Guilds, Pearson, or EAL
- Monitor learner progress, provide coaching, and complete learner reviews
- Ensure delivery aligns with Ofsted standards, quality frameworks, and AEB compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate learner records and funding documentation
- Work closely with employer partners to ensure training meets industry needs
- Develop learners’ employability skills, confidence, and workplace readiness
- Promote safe working practices within warehouse and logistics environments
Ideal Candidate
You’ll be an industry professional with experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain operations, combined with a passion for training and learner development.
Essential:
- Background in warehouse operations, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain
- Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of tools such as 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and process improvement
- Strong communication, coaching, and organisational skills
- Ability to engage and motivate adult learners
- Good IT and administrative skills
Desirable:
- Experience delivering AEB-funded training, employability programmes, or vocational education
- Teaching qualification such as AET, PTLLS, CET, or equivalent
- Experience delivering bootcamps, apprenticeships, or vocational qualifications
- Understanding of Ofsted EIF, ESFA funding, and FE quality standards
