The Opportunity
Are you a qualified assessor who is fluent in both Arabic and English? We’re looking for an experienced Bilingual Assessor to support the assessment of a cohort of 18 learners completing the Cert EP. You’ll assess learner submissions in Arabic, provide feedback in Arabic and support a high-quality, consistent assessment process. Importantly, previous employability experience is not essential. Support with the employability content and knowledge will be available, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced assessor looking to apply their assessment expertise within a new area.
The Role
- Assess submissions for an initial cohort of 18 learners completing the Cert EP.
- Assess learner work and submissions in Arabic.
- Provide clear and appropriate feedback to learners in Arabic.
- Apply sound assessment judgement to ensure submissions are assessed accurately and consistently.
- Support the wider assessment process and learner assessment requirements.
- Work alongside a trainee bilingual assessor currently supporting learners in the Gulf.
- Access support with employability content and knowledge where required.
- Potential opportunity for approximately 1 day per month of IQA work following the initial cohort.
- Potential for additional assessment work in English on a separate project.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified assessor with demonstrable assessment experience.
- Fluent in Arabic and English, with the ability to speak, read and write both languages.
- Previous experience within education, training or business environments.
- Strong understanding of assessment practice and providing learner feedback.
- Able to assess learner submissions accurately, fairly and consistently.
- Professional, organised and confident working independently.
- Previous employability-specific experience is not essential.
- Experience of bilingual or Arabic-language assessment would be advantageous.
