The Role
As an Assessment & Qualifications Developer, you will take a hands-on role in the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of a portfolio of qualifications, assessments, apprenticeship products and learning resources.
You will work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, assessors and subject specialists to ensure products are high quality, compliant, engaging and fit for purpose.
Key responsibilities include
- Designing and developing assessment materials, qualifications and apprenticeship products.
- Creating and reviewing curriculum content and learning resources.
- Developing resources to support effective assessment and delivery.
- Ensuring products comply with Ofqual and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the development and review of online examinations and assessments.
- Reviewing existing qualifications and assessments and identifying areas for improvement.
- Developing content for e-learning platforms, including research and interactive learning materials.
- Analysing assessment and examination data to identify trends and support continuous improvement.
- Working with external organisations and contractors on qualification and assessment development.
- Supporting standardisation, moderation and quality assurance activities.
- Supporting Independent Assessors with updates to standards and assessment materials.
- Maintaining knowledge of apprenticeship standards, qualifications, assessment and regulatory requirements.
- Designing and delivering relevant courses or training content where required.
- The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a hands-on assessment and qualifications professional with strong experience in product and curriculum development.
You will ideally have
- Experience working within an Awarding Organisation (AO), apprenticeship assessment organisation or Further Education provider.
- At least 3 years' experience developing qualifications, assessments, resources or curriculum.
- Proven experience creating and reviewing assessment materials and assessment resources.
- Strong knowledge of apprenticeship standards and qualifications.
- Experience across training delivery, assessment and/or quality assurance.
- A Level 4 Assessment and/or Quality Assurance qualification, or equivalent.
- A recognised teaching/training qualification, such as a Certificate in Education or equivalent.
- Practical experience of curriculum development and learning content creation.
- Experience of standardisation, moderation or internal quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of working within a regulated and compliance-focused environment.
- Excellent analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong IT and digital skills, ideally including online learning or assessment systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
