Our Public Sector Client requires a Senior Information Management Architect (10+ Years) with experience supporting the implementation of M365 and SharePoint Online.
Full time, % remote
Responsibilities to Include:
- Conduct a functional decomposition of current systems and processes to translate into SharePoint Online elements, including libraries, sites, and metadata management.
- Meet with clients to understand and document their information management needs and develop information architecture that aligns with those needs.
- Design and implement classification structures, metadata models, and retention/disposition schedules within SharePoint Online.
- Lead the creation of electronic file plans and integrate these into SharePoint, ensuring compliance with GOC standards and retention policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and input information structures and metadata into SharePoint solutions, shifting from paper-based to electronic systems.
- Provide guidance on the use of SharePoint for information management, including best practices for document management, data retention, and information security.
- Work closely with the M Migration team to align information management architecture with enterprise-level governance, policies, and lifecycle requirements.
- Create bilingual taxonomies and data dictionaries within the IM architecture to support the integration of GCDocs and M/SharePoint Online.
- Advise senior management and project teams on IM best practices, tools, and risk management strategies related to information governance and lifecycle.
- Utilize knowledge of various electronic systems (e.g., GCDocs, SharePoint on-prem, RDIMS, InforBank) to recommend and implement best-fit solutions.
Must Haves:
- 10+ years of experience as an Information Management Architect.
- Experience with Classification Structures.
- Experience with Metadata Models.
- Experience with Retention/Disposition Schedules.
- Familiarity with Generic Valuation Tools (GVT) and the ability to align information management strategies with GOC retention and disposition standards.
- Proven experience in supporting the implementation of M and SharePoint Online as an electronic document/records management solution (EDRMS).
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in developing and presenting recommendations for alternative Systems that Manage Information (SMI) tools based on SharePoint on-prem, OpenText Content Server, or M SharePoint Online.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and French).
