Our valued not-for-profit client is currently managing their cloud environment, while reviewing systems that are involved with their new platform. They are looking for an Azure developer to help with managing and supporting their integrated connection to the applications involved as well as reviewing their on-premise system for proper communication for their cloud platforms.
Remote: Candidates with the ability to work on-site in Brampton or Ottawa, ON are preferred.
Contract: Initial 6 month contract, with possibility of renewal. 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Azure Integration Development: Design, develop, and implement Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Data Factory pipelines to support business integration needs. Create APIs and workflows to enable seamless communication between internal and external systems. Implement ETL / ELT processes and data movement solutions leveraging Azure services.
- Azure Architecture Design: Design and optimize scalable, secure, and cost-efficient Azure architectures for integration applications. Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and align solutions with business objectives. Implement best practices for logging, networking, security, and monitoring in Azure environments.
- CI / CD and DevOps Enablement: Set up and maintain CI / CD pipelines for deploying Azure resources and integration applications using tools like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or other industry-standard platforms. Automate deployment processes to ensure faster and more reliable delivery cycles. Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Bicep.
- Support and Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize existing integration solutions for performance, reliability, and scalability. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and facilitate knowledge sharing. Monitor and ensure high availability of integration services and workflows.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and architects, to deliver high-quality solutions. Act as a technical advisor, providing recommendations on leveraging Azure services to solve business problems.
Must-Have Skills:
- 3+ years as an Azure developer or similar experience
- 2+ years working with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Functions, and Azure Logic Apps
- Ability to code with Python and/or C#
- Agile Development and Methodology project delivery experience
- Experience with RESTful APIs and data services.
Nice to have:
- Azure Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Solutions Architect)
- Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, or similar tools
- Hands-on experience with AI and machine learning services on Azure
- Demonstrated experience implementing infrastructure-as-code using Bicep
