We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our API Integration team, focusing on Individual Customer and Advisor Distribution API products. The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for leading the analysis of business problems and developing requirements, API Product specifications and contribution towards product design efforts. This role applies advanced knowledge to complex work and supports delivery teams by sharing skills and mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Document all Q&A that need to be addressed to understand the integration requirements
- Initiate a review of understood requirements prior to solution design with stakeholders
- Create data mapping documents between API and front end / back end
- Contribute to the creation of OpenAPI specs and JDL files
- Create southbound orchestration specs
- Document acceptance criteria for each story
- Create development stories and tasks
- Lead story grooming and story pointing with development team
- Conduct review of completed work to ensure requirements have been met
Must haves:
- 5+ years of multi-disciplinary experience in a large, complex organization
- Experience working within an agile team
- Experience with data mapping documents between API and front end / back end
- Experience with the creation of OpenAPI specs and JDL files
- Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science and/or Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- Ability to effectively communicate high-level concepts and solutions with both technology and business teams
- Familiarity with several architecture integration patterns and analysis deliverables for them
- Understanding of Domain Modelling
