Duration: 3-6 Months

Start Date: Jan 19th

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a senior platform owner for Salesforce, responsible for advanced configuration, administration, and optimization across core and extended capabilities (for example, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Field Service, and Propel PLM).
  • Engage directly with business stakeholders (especially RevOps, MarketingOps, and SupportOps) to understand their needs, clarify requirements at a functional level, and propose configuration-first solutions that align with platform standards and best practices.
  • Triage and assess incoming tickets and requests, quickly evaluating complexity and identifying whether items can be resolved via configuration, require deeper analysis by a BSA, or should be routed to developers for custom development.
  • Serve as a gatekeeper for the delivery team by prioritising configuration and low/no-code solutions, ensuring that custom development is reserved for use cases that genuinely require it, and advocating for platform-aligned designs.
  • Collaborate with BSAs on solution design, providing input on what can be achieved via configuration, standard features, and managed packages, and helping validate feasibility, effort, and risks for proposed solutions.
  • Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, flows, approval processes, assignment rules, and other configuration elements to support evolving business processes.
  • Administer and optimise Salesforce Experience Cloud sites and communities, particularly for partner-facing experiences, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and aligned with stakeholder needs.
  • Administer and optimise Salesforce Field Service, including work types, service resources, territories, scheduling policies, and mobile experience, to support field operations and workflows.
  • Support Propel PLM (and similar Salesforce-native products) configuration and maintenance, ensuring alignment between product lifecycle management processes and core CRM processes.
  • Manage and improve operational processes related to ticket handling and SLAs, including ensuring tickets are well-structured, updated regularly, and resolved in accordance with agreed timelines and quality standards.
  • Support data quality and governance by maintaining data integrity (for example, deduplication, data validation, monitoring key data health metrics), and partnering with data stakeholders on improvements.
  • Coordinate and execute administrative aspects of releases and changes, including sandbox management, configuration review, regression checks for admin-owned changes, and deployment of configuration between environments in collaboration with development and release management teams.
  • Evaluate new Salesforce releases, features, and AppExchange products, and assess their relevance and impact on existing processes; prepare recommendations and rollout plans for features that can add value.
  • Develop and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation for configurations, processes, and administrator-run workflows; contribute to training materials and enablement sessions for end users and internal teams.
  • Provide guidance and support to end users, including responding to questions, troubleshooting issues, and helping users adopt new features and processes.
  • Mentor and support other administrators and related team members, sharing best practices in configuration, ticket management, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Partner with Salesforce developers and architects to ensure configurations align with overall system architecture, integration patterns, and long-term maintainability.
  • Identify opportunities to standardise, simplify, and streamline Salesforce usage across teams and regions, and lead or contribute to initiatives that improve consistency and reduce technical debt.

Must Haves:

  • Salesforce Administrator certification
  • One or more advanced Salesforce certifications (for example, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant, Field Service Consultant)
  • Experience configuring core Salesforce CRM capabilities (objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, flows, automation, approval processes, assignment rules, security and sharing).
  • Practical experience configuring and maintaining Salesforce Experience Cloud and Salesforce Field Service in production environments.
  • Familiarity with one or more marketing and support technologies integrated with Salesforce (for example, marketing automation platforms, support tooling), and understanding of how they interact with CRM data and processes.
  • Ability to read and work with technical and semi-technical artifacts such as process/flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and data models, and to use these in collaboration with BSAs, developers, and architects.
  • Comfort working with structured data (for example, object and field models, basic queries, reports, dashboards) to support data analysis, validation, and decision-making.
  • Experience with deployment and release management practices for configuration changes (for example, sandboxes, change sets, DevOps tools) in coordination with development and release teams.
  • Familiarity with integration concepts and patterns at a conceptual level (for example, how Salesforce connects to ERP or other systems), sufficient to understand impacts and collaborate with integration specialists.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into practical, scalable configuration solutions, with clear understanding of where configuration ends and custom development begins.
  • Demonstrated experience acting as a triage lead or gatekeeper for incoming Salesforce/CRM work, including assessing complexity, routing work appropriately, and maintaining SLAs with stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of business processes in RevOps, MarketingOps, and SupportOps (for example, lead and opportunity management, campaigns and journeys, case and incident management, customer support workflows).
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management concepts and tools, ideally including experience with Propel PLM or other Salesforce-native PLM solutions.
  • Proficiency using tools such as: Salesforce Setup and related admin tools. Work management tools (for example, Jira or similar) for tracking tickets, changes, and backlog items. Productivity and collaboration tools (for example, Google Workspace or Microsoft).
