Our valued Public Sector client requires a Senior Business Analyst to analyze the current business process and workflows for an enterprise-wide initiative. This initiative is in response to the current habitual state of the Pacific Salmon species, which has been determined a species at risk.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze the work to be done and develop a business requirements work plan
- Reverse Engineering regional systems to establish a baseline of requirements
- Business Process modelling to describe business processes supported by the software
- Other business analysis modelling of the current and future state to support product development
- Communicate and liaise with numerous stakeholders to gather information on information holdings and business requirements
- Facilitate meetings and interviews to elicit business requirements, and pose questions to determine what the clients needs are
- Work on AGILE SCRUM teams supporting the Product Owner to populate and refine the Product Backlogs
- Provide a coherent view of user stories so that development teams understand the work to be done
- Work with the project teams to set Product Roadmaps
- Act as Business Analyst in System Testing to ensure that products meet business requirements
- Develop meeting agendas and meeting plans to elicit requirements from stakeholders
- Provide bi-weekly status reports to the technical authority
Must Have:
- Experience working as a Business Analyst on 2+ large-scale data migration projects
- Minimum 5 years experience gathering requirements from multiple teams across different departments/regions
- Valid Enhanced Reliability Clearance
Nice to haves:
- Experience working on scientific related projects OR an educational background in biological science
