The ideal candidate has experience delivering complex programs in financial services or Wealth Management environments and is comfortable operating across both Agile and structured PMO / Waterfall governance models. Upcoming work is expected to lean heavily toward AI-related initiatives, requiring a PM who can move quickly, manage ambiguity, drive stakeholder alignment, and deliver outcomes in a fast-changing environment.

This role requires someone who can partner effectively with business, technology, data, compliance, and executive stakeholders while maintaining strong delivery discipline around scope, risks, dependencies, financials, reporting, and governance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex Wealth Management initiatives with a focus on AI-enabled delivery, technology transformation, regulatory, operational, or compliance-related outcomes.
  • Manage end-to-end project execution from initiation through planning, delivery, implementation, and post-implementation support.
  • Drive Agile delivery practices, including sprint planning support, backlog alignment, dependency management, delivery tracking, and cross-functional team coordination.
  • Operate effectively within both Agile and Waterfall / gated PMO frameworks, adapting delivery approach based on project needs.
  • Partner with Technology, Data, Enterprise Architecture, Compliance, Risk, Business, QA, and vendor teams to deliver system, process, and platform changes.
  • Support delivery of AI-related initiatives, including projects involving automation, data-driven decisioning, AI adoption, governance, or integration of emerging technology capabilities into business workflows.
  • Navigate ambiguity by clarifying objectives, breaking down workstreams, identifying delivery paths, and driving decisions with limited upfront certainty.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, status reporting, dependency trackers, financial tracking, and governance artifacts.
  • Identify scope, delivery, regulatory, technology, and stakeholder risks, and implement mitigation and escalation strategies.
  • Chair project working groups, support Steering Committees, and provide executive-level updates to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams, including business analysts, product owners, scrum masters, QA, technology leads, data teams, and vendor partners.
  • Drive cross-LOB alignment, stakeholder buy-in, and governance adherence across complex Wealth Management environments.
  • Ensure milestones, audit documentation, compliance requirements, and implementation deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
  • Contribute to PMO process improvements, delivery acceleration, and improved ways of working across Agile and structured delivery models.

Must-Have Requirements:

  • 8+ years of progressive project management experience, ideally within financial services, Wealth Management, Brokerage, Banking, Insurance, or a similarly regulated enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience leading technology-enabled business transformation initiatives across multiple stakeholders, systems, and delivery teams.
  • Hands-on experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies, with comfort managing sprint-based delivery, evolving requirements, ambiguity, and iterative execution.
  • Ability to operate within both Agile and Waterfall / structured SDLC frameworks, including gated governance, executive reporting, and formal PMO controls.
  • Experience supporting or delivering AI, data, automation, digital transformation, analytics, or emerging technology initiatives.
  • Strong ability to move quickly in ambiguous environments, create structure, clarify scope, identify dependencies, and drive delivery momentum.
  • Experience working closely with technology delivery teams and understanding application dependencies, integrations, data flows, testing, release planning, and production implementation.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, stakeholder relationship management, and issue escalation skills.
  • Strong governance and financial rigor, including status reporting, RAID management, budget tracking, resource planning, and risk mitigation.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams across business, technology, data, compliance, QA, vendors, and senior leadership.
  • Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, Clarity, SharePoint, ServiceNow, and related delivery / governance platforms.

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

  • Experience delivering projects within Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Brokerage, Asset Management, or Financial Advisory environments.
  • Exposure to AI governance, responsible AI, model risk management, data governance, automation, machine learning, GenAI, or enterprise AI adoption initiatives.
  • Experience with Canadian financial services regulatory environments, including AML/ATF, FINTRAC, KYC, CRA, Bill 96, privacy, reporting compliance, or client suitability.
  • Experience working with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Architects, Compliance teams, or Enterprise Risk groups.
