Our client is seeking an experienced Database Architect to support the design, optimization, and performance tuning of highly available, distributed database systems supporting mission-critical payment platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with application architects, engineering teams, and platform stakeholders to ensure scalable, resilient, and high-performance data solutions aligned with modern microservices architectures.
Work Mode: Remote
Duration: Initially 3 months plus a 3 months extension
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience across database development, data modeling, data architecture, DBA, and solution architecture
- Strong proficiency in SQL, CockroachDB, and PostgreSQL
- Proven expertise in performance tuning for distributed and high-volume systems
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, Spring Boot, and transaction isolation levels
- Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and data integration best practices
