Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with experience working enterprise web-based educational platforms to lead stakeholder requirements and agile ceremonies for a public sector client.
Must Haves:
- 7+ years as a Business Analyst working on agile web-based software development projects with the following experience:
- Eliciting and documenting requirements in the form of user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Leading stakeholder requirements meetings and facilitating agile ceremonies (e.g. story breakdown, backlog refinement, sprint planning) in remote or hybrid work environments.
- Using collaboration tools such as Miro (or equivalent) and task management tools such as Azure DevOps (or equivalent).
- Experience as a business analyst working on large-scale, web-based educational platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Provide business analysis services in support of new LearnAlberta.ca and related applications in an agile environment.
- Elicit business requirements from business users and subject matter experts.
- Gather, analyze, document and validate new and existing business processes.
- Provide user mockups and low fidelity designs.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings and capture documentation and minutes.
- Review business analysts’ deliverables to ensure quality.
- Write user stories and manage product backlogs.
- Assist in operational rollout and support.
- Lead and conduct user acceptance testing.
- Lead or assist in the development of business cases and other technical documents as needed.
- Escalate issues and risks, as appropriate.
- Provide stakeholder training.
- Engage and interact with the technical team.
