We are seeking an experienced ISO Implementation Consultant to support the full lifecycle of establishing, documenting, and deploying a Quality Management System (QMS) aligned to ISO requirements. The contractor will work closely with leadership and project teams to assess current-state processes, identify gaps, develop required documentation, facilitate organizational adoption, and prepare the company for external certification. This role is ideal for a seasoned quality professional with hands-on experience leading organizations through successful ISO certifications.
Role Deliverables
- ISO Readiness Assessment
- Conduct a comprehensive gap analysis against ISO requirements.
- Review existing processes, policies, and documentation.
- Provide a detailed assessment outlining risks, deficiencies, and recommended remediation actions.
- QMS Development & Documentation
- Develop and refine quality policies, procedures, process maps, work instructions, and forms.
- Establish mandatory ISO documents (e.g., Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, Document Control, Internal Audit Procedure, Corrective Action Procedure).
- Support process owners in customizing documentation to reflect real operational practices.
- Implementation Support
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions with stakeholders to embed QMS processes.
- Support cross-functional teams in adopting and stabilizing new workflows.
- Provide coaching on roles and responsibilities related to quality management.
- Internal Audit Preparation
- Develop an internal audit program and schedule.
- Train internal auditors (if required).
- Conduct pre-certification internal audits and prepare audit reports.
- Support corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).
- Certification Support
- Assist with selecting and coordinating an accredited external certification body.
- Prepare the organization for Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits.
- Provide support during external audits and help resolve any non-conformities.
Required Qualifications – MUST HAVE
- Proven track record implementing ISO in at least 2–3 organizations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management, process improvement, or operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of ISO clauses, documentation requirements, and audit protocols.
- Experience delivering training and facilitating workshops.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISO Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer certification.
- Consulting experience in professional services, manufacturing, technology, or related industries.
- Experience with digital QMS tools (e.g., Qualio, Q-Pulse, Intelex, SharePoint-based QMS).
