Background: Our client is a market leading Top Tier Global Consulting firm. They support some of the World’s leading Private, Publicly traded organisations and government bodies in defining and executing business critical strategies. They are looking to significantly ramp and grow their consulting presence in the Global Pharmaceutical, Bio Tech and Life Sciences sector.
The Role: This is a classic C-Suite consulting role, where you will have the opportunity to help shape and take responsibility for some of the world’s most ambitious and complex supply chain transformation projects across the Pharma, Bio Tech and Life Sciences sector. As a director within the group, you will act as a thought-partner to clients, helping them to shape ideas and solve complex problems through building trust with senior level Supply Chain leaders. Typical areas of project program work will include:
- Procurement Strategic, operational or transactional procurement across the buying lifecycle including procurement strategy
- Supply Chain Strategy - Operating Model design, segmentation strategy and inventory optimisation
- Digital Supply Chain - next-generation supply chain technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, cognitive automation and AI, Internet-of-Things (IOT), Blockchain and Big Data analytics
- Supply Chain Analytics - Developing supply chain analytics to deliver enhanced end to end SC visibility
Furthermore, you will lead and support projects for clients that deliver best in class results leveraging capabilities from across the client firm. Outside of engagements, Directors are considered mentors within the firm, acting as people-managers and career coaches across the team.
Candidate: You will need extensive experience of working within a Tier 1 or boutique consulting organisation where your focus has been supporting Pharma, Bio Tech or Life Sciences clients in large scale Operational transformation projects. You will need to demonstrate the ability to think strategically about business and industry trends in Manufacturing / Operations and use analytical, problem-solving techniques to break down complex issues. It is essential that you have a track record in business development, experience in managing large scale teams and a reputation for delivering quality work for clients. In summary, we are seeking an individual who is genuinely passionate and thrives in resolving complex Operational / Value Chain issues on behalf of clients.
