Working Supervisor – Pub & Leisure Refurbishment Location: Midlands-based sites (travel required) Type: Permanent, full-time (start in the New Year) The company Our client is a long-established and respected Midlands building contractor. They deliver refurbishment, design and build, framework and maintenance projects across a range of sectors. Pub refurbishment is a key, growing part of their business, with repeat work for well-known national pub operators. The role Our client is looking for a hands-on Working Supervisor to run their pub refurbishment projects on site. You’ll lead from the front, working on the tools while running the job day to day, coordinating trades and making sure each pub is ready to reopen on time and to a high standard. What you’ll be doing * Running pub refurbishment sites day to day while working on the tools * Coordinating subcontractors, trades and deliveries * Keeping works on programme, often to tight closure periods * Making sure health and safety rules are followed on site, including inductions and site records * Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and finish * Liaising with the Contracts Manager, and with pub managers where premises are partly trading * Managing snagging and getting the site ready for handover What we’re looking for * A time-served trade background (e.g. joinery, carpentry or general building) * Experience as a Working Supervisor, Working Foreman or Site Supervisor * Pub, bar, restaurant or leisure refurbishment experience (preferred) * Practical, organised and confident leading a small site team * SSSTS or SMSTS, CSCS (Supervisor or Gold card) and First Aid (preferred) * Full UK driving licence and willing to travel to sites across the region What’s on offer * Steady repeat work on varied, fast-paced refurbishment projects * A stable, long-established business with progression opportunities
