Freelance Site Manager – Office Fit Out
Location: Uttoxeter, Staffordshire
Contract: Freelance
Duration: 3 Months
Start: Immediate / ASAP
Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a commercial office fit-out project in Uttoxeter on a 3-month contract. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to a high-quality finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full day-to-day management of the office fit-out project
- Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and site operatives
- Managing the programme and ensuring deadlines are met
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations at all times
- Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and inspections
- Managing quality control, snagging, and handover
- Liaising with the client, consultants, and project team
- Maintaining accurate site records and progress reports
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing commercial or office fit-out projects
- Strong understanding of health & safety and site compliance
- SMSTS
- First Aid at Work
- Valid CSCS card
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage short-term programmes
Desirable:
- Experience delivering fast-track fit-out projects
- Local to Uttoxeter or able to commute reliably
