A growing and well-established interior fit-out and specialist subcontractor is looking to recruit a Trainee Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is already at least 2 years into their Quantity Surveying degree, or potentially recently qualified, looking to gain hands-on experience within a busy and supportive construction environment.
Working alongside experienced commercial professionals, you will gain exposure across both Quantity Surveying and Estimating functions, helping to develop a strong all-round commercial understanding of the construction industry.
The Role
- Preparing and reviewing quotations and tender submissions
- Measurement and take-offs from drawings
- Assisting with subcontractor and supplier enquiries
- Supporting cost planning and budgeting
- Commercial administration and document management
- Variations, valuations and cost tracking
- Liaising with site teams, clients and suppliers
- Supporting the commercial team across multiple live projects
Requirements
- Currently studying towards a Quantity Surveying degree (minimum 2 years completed) or recently qualified
