A well-established and highly respected construction contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team delivering new-build social housing schemes across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. This is a key role within a stable business with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for quality delivery.
The Role
- Full commercial management of live projects
- Preparing and controlling budgets and cost plans
- Procurement of subcontract packages
- Valuations and applications for payment
- Managing variations and change control
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Subcontractor account management
- Final accounts and project close-out
- Supporting junior commercial staff (at Senior level)
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience delivering new-build residential or social housing schemes
- A strong understanding of cost control and subcontract procurement
- Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- The ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Relevant construction or surveying qualifications
- Senior-level candidates should also be comfortable leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
