Are you an experienced Pre-Construction / BID professional with a proven track record of leading successful tender submissions for Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors? Our client—a highly respected main contractor with a strong project pipeline across the Midlands—is looking to appoint a BID Manager to strengthen its Pre-Construction function.
The Opportunity
You will take full responsibility for managing the bid process from initial opportunity through to contract award. This includes oversight of Stage 1 bids and guiding the team through Stage 2 PCSA development, ensuring high-quality outputs and win strategies that secure new work.
Working alongside Pre-Construction, Estimating, Planning, and Delivery teams, you’ll play a key role in shaping successful submissions and delivering commercially sound, compelling proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full bid lifecycle across Stages 1 & 2
- Coordinate multidisciplinary BID teams to produce high-quality, winning submissions
- Develop bid strategies, programme inputs, and client-focused solutions
- Drive PCSA development and manage information flow throughout Stage 2
- Ensure compliance, governance, and quality assurance throughout all submissions
- Build strong internal relationships and contribute to continuous improvement in bid processes
We’re Looking For
You will ideally come from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contracting background and have held one of the following roles:
- Pre-Construction Manager / Lead
- Senior BID Manager
- BID Manager
You must be experienced in leading pre-construction and bid teams, managing complex tenders, and coordinating the end-to-end bid process through both Stage 1 bid wins and Stage 2 PCSAs.
Strong communication, excellent organisation, and the ability to work under pressure to deadlines are essential.
