We are working with a highly regarded civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a financially stable and expanding business delivering projects across the UK.

The Role

You will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from early-stage cost planning through to final account. This is a hands-on role requiring close collaboration with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project costs from pre-construction through to completion
  • Prepare valuations, cost reports, and forecasts
  • Administer subcontractor accounts, including payments and variations
  • Support tendering and pricing activities where required
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
  • Monitor project performance and report on financial position
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Assist in negotiating and agreeing final accounts

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or civil engineering
  • Strong commercial awareness and cost control expertise
  • Experience managing projects through full lifecycle
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Relevant qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar preferred)
