I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established building preservation contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Timber & Damp Surveyor to join their team covering South Staffordshire and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor with a strong background in remedial works and property protection to join a stable business with a long-standing reputation in the market.
The Role
- Carrying out inspections and surveys on residential and commercial properties, diagnosing defects and specifying remedial works.
- Undertaking timber, damp and structural surveys.
- Producing detailed reports and specifications.
- Identifying causes of damp ingress, decay and infestation.
- Preparing remedial solutions and costings.
- Liaising with clients, insurers and internal delivery teams.
- Supporting contract handovers to site teams.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
About You
- CSRT qualification (essential).
- Proven experience within an established building preservation business.
- Strong technical knowledge of damp proofing and timber treatment.
- Professional, client-facing approach.
- Full UK driving licence.
