This is an excellent opportunity for a proven buyer with strong supplier relationships and a background in construction procurement to play a key role in supporting project delivery across the Midlands. The Role: You will be responsible for the procurement of materials and plant hire across multiple projects, ensuring best value, reliability, and programme support. Duties will include: * Managing supplier relationships and negotiating competitive rates * Procuring materials and plant hire in line with project requirements * Carrying out drawing take-offs where required * Supporting commercial and operational teams with procurement strategy * Monitoring market trends and supply chain performance * Ensuring compliance with company and project procurement procedures About You: * Proven experience as a Materials Buyer / Plant Hire Buyer within construction * Strong supplier network across the Midlands * Confident completing drawing take-offs * Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills * Proactive, reliable, and able to work to tight deadlines Package: * Salary in the region of £40,000+, depending on experience * Attractive benefits package * Long-term permanent opportunity with a stable contractor This role offers excellent long-term career prospects within a business with a strong pipeline of work
