We are working on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded civil engineering and residential groundworks contractor to recruit a Hire Desk Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and growing business where you'll play a key role in supporting site operations by coordinating plant, tools, and equipment across multiple projects.

The Role

As Hire Desk Controller, you will be responsible for managing plant and equipment requirements across a designated region, ensuring sites are fully supported and operations run efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating plant, tools, and machinery across multiple construction sites
  • Working closely with Site and Contracts Managers to ensure productivity and site readiness
  • Managing fuel requirements (gas oil and diesel) across regional sites
  • Liaising with suppliers to secure competitive rates and reliable service
  • Overseeing the distribution of plant-related items across the business
  • Managing site mixer hire requirements and ensuring processes are followed
  • Supporting the Plant department with general administration and coordination tasks
